The Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board (PTCCB) issues various licenses, including import, export, vending, transport and pest control licenses, to regulate the importation, storage, sale, distribution, transportation and use of pesticides and toxic chemicals.
Inspection and Enforcement
The Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board (PTCCB) conducts regular inspections of importers, agricultural sites, and industrial operations to ensure compliance with chemical regulations. We monitor markets, ports, transportation, and sales to ensure only licensed distributors handle chemicals. In cases of violations, PTCCB can confiscate products, issue warnings, impose fines, revoke licenses, or pursue penalties, including imprisonment.

All pesticides and toxic chemicals must be registered with the Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board (PTCCB) before being imported, to ensure they meet product quality, efficacy, health and environmental safety standards.
Training and Awareness
The Pesticides and Toxic Chemicals Control Board (PTCCB) is active in the training of farmers, extension agents, vendors, pest control operators, toxic chemical and pesticide users, transporters among others. The PTCCB also raises public awareness through the development and distribution of training materials, etc.
